PREGNANCY YOGA
Pregnancy is an interesting time in a woman’s life. Just like with any new adventure it can be exciting, eye-opening, beautiful but at the same time challenging, overwhelming and for some not that happy at all. For me personally pregnancy was a roller-coaster. I have certainly experienced all of the above when being pregnant with my twins 4 years ago.
Now that I am both a mum and a certified Prenatal and Postnatal yoga teacher I would be honored to help make your journey into motherhood a smooth and enjoyable ride.

WHAT IS PRENATAL YOGA
Pregnancy yoga includes a variety of relaxation techniques and special exercises, aiming to maintain strength and flexibility throughout pregnancy, improve balance and mobility, increase overall energy levels and emotional well-being while aiming to prepare you for labour.
WHY DO PRENATAL YOGA
Several studies have been done with 2 controlled groups of pregnant women. One of these groups has been participating in regular prenatal yoga classes whereas the other one didn't. Research suggests that focused group yoga participants have noticed significant improvements in different areas*. Here are just a few of them.
Benefits of pregnancy yoga:
-
Easing pregnancy related pains and aches
-
Gentle muscle strengthening and stretching to release tension
-
Learning different breathing and calming down techniques
-
Building a community and making new pregnant friends in your area
-
Helping to ease anxiety and prenatal depression by building confidence and self-esteem
-
Creating a bond with your baby/babies
-
Improving sleep
-
Looking after yourself in a safe place where you rest, relax and reconnect
My classes are designed for pregnant women in their 2nd and 3rd trimester of all ages and physical abilities. The classes will aim to build your stamina, get to know your body better, find what works for you personally in preparation for labor. Pregnancy sure can be a whirlwind but with proper guidance, encouragement, relaxation and support it can significantly improve the way you are feeling physically and emotionally as well as equip you for the birth of your baby/babies.
